Boomerang Career Talk - Mary Rita Ferreri

When did you decide to join Swarovski?

I joined Swarovski in 2003 as a Retail Store Manager for the newly opened Freehold, New Jersey location. At the time I was a recent fashion design graduate and was familiar with Swarovski Crystals being used in designer apparel. This made me feel really proud to join a global brand.

What did you do in your previous position at Swarovski?

In my previous positions, I was the Store Manager for Menlo Park, also in New Jersey, a new store opening Manager, a Training Manager, and an Area Manager. These roles laid the foundation for my leadership skills and drive to succeed.

What are you doing in your current position at Swarovski?

As the Key Account Manager of Corporate Gifts, I’m responsible for reinvigorating our program and inspiring Fortune 500 companies to gift Swarovski to their employees and external partners. I connect with industry professionals from finance, hospitality, technology, automotive, government, and education. I work with them across sales, marketing, and human resources to deliver on their gifting needs.

One of my projects has been to launch a customizable platform for our Swarovski North America clients, enabling them to send a curated collection of gifts from which the recipient can choose their favorite. We plan to roll this out in key global markets in 2025.

How did this career move within Swarovski happen?

I decided to explore a career outside of Swarovski and gained experience overseeing independent, national, and international accounts. I then pivoted to Tiffany & Co. B2B in Business Gifts, where I was able to engage with clients on a creative and strategic scale. I was elated to return to Swarovski in 2023. I boomeranged and I’m excited to see where this journey will lead!

What does career mean to you?

Career to me means feeling fulfilled about your contributions, being challenged in your personal quest to achieve excellence, and the pursuit to continuously improve.
