Swarovski x Guerlain x Germanier

As part of our Global Young Talent Program, Swarovski does not only collaborate with designers by providing them with crystal to be used across their fashion shows but also for very special curated projects.

This time, Swarovski joined forces with prestigious luxury brand Guerlain and friend of the house emerging talent Kevin Germanier for an innovative collaboration. Guerlain commissioned him to work on a very limited edition of their Orchidée Impériale Black Cream, to be sold in 15 numbered collection pieces, available for sale to collectors and priced at 10.000 euros each.

An encounter between haute couture Savoir-Faire and high-end cosmetics

The project showcases a spectacular encounter between Guerlain’s heritage, contemporary Luxury and an eco-friendly upcycling approach, giving rise to a sculpture in upcycled metal beads with a precious porcelain jar embellished with our Jet crystals in its center. The famous Maison Bernardaud workshops reworked Guerlain’s iconic porcelain enameling to obtain a deep black over the entire jar. Like a goldsmith, Kevin meticulously positioned the crystals one by one on each piece, all crafted by hand using a highly technical method.

This special image building collaboration allowed us to gain Brand association with a prestigious luxury actor, in addition to past successful B2B initiatives, and with a cool emerging designer. It follows a first successful collaboration launched in 2021, for which Germanier had crystallized Guerlain’s iconic perfume Bee Bottle.

We started collaborating with conscious designer Germanier since the founding of his label back in 2018 and have been supporting him on several occasions ever since. Germanier has proven himself time and again to be a crystal innovator, pushing our ingredients’ creative boundaries and developing new Savoir-Faire techniques.
